“England Rugby Star Joe Marler Faces Betrayal on TV Show”

Published:

Joe Marler, a former member of the England rugby team, faced betrayal on the reality TV show “Celebrity Traitors.” Despite making it to the final episode, Marler was ousted by his fellow contestants.

The 35-year-old, who retired from international rugby in November, was among 19 celebrities selected for the debut series of the BBC program. Marler belonged to the Faithful team, tasked with uncovering a trio of Traitors.

Known for his outspoken nature, Marler reached the final four alongside actor Nick Mohammed. The duo had formed a strong bond and made a pact but Mohammed’s last-minute change of heart led to Marler’s elimination, allowing Alan Carr to claim the charity prize.

Marler’s former England teammates expressed surprise at the final outcome of the show. Second-row Alex Coles shared insights on Marler’s personality, highlighting his charisma and humor.

Despite the turn of events, Marler harbors no ill feelings towards Mohammed and even praised his decision. The pair reconciled after the show, with Marler acknowledging the emotional impact of the vote.

In addition to Mohammed, Marler also formed a friendship with comedian Joe Wilkinson during the show. He commended Wilkinson’s humor and intelligence, showcasing a different side of rugby players to the public.
