“Urgent Appeal: Police Seek Info on City Center Bar Rape Suspect”

Police have initiated a significant investigation following the rape of a woman at a bustling city center bar. The assault occurred between 2am and 4am on Sunday, October 12, inside Stone Roses bar. The British Transport Police (BTP) have urgently called for information to identify the perpetrator and have released a photo of a man of interest in connection with the incident.

In a statement, a spokesperson mentioned that urgent inquiries began once the investigation was handed over to the British Transport Police on Thursday, October 16. Detectives are appealing for witnesses to step forward and provide information promptly.

Detective Constable Rob Wyllie described the incident as shocking and horrific, emphasizing the swift efforts to apprehend the responsible individual. He urged anyone who recognizes the man in the photo or may have interacted with him on the night in question to reach out to assist the investigation.
