Co-op is gearing up to unveil 11 fresh outlets this week, with a confirmed roster of locations now available.
The new stores will be scattered from Bristol to the Scottish Highlands, including a significant milestone as Co-op becomes the inaugural permanent retailer at London’s new Brent Cross Town development.
These store openings encompass a mix of brand-new outlets, franchise-operated establishments, and revamped locations. This expansion initiative forms part of the retailer’s commitment to enhance over 200 stores by 2024/25.
This recent list is part of the 50 stores that Co-op recently disclosed will launch in November and December, just in time for the festive season. The company is urging the Government to implement business-rates reform in the upcoming Budget announcement.
Kate McCrae, Co-op’s Operations Director, emphasized the brand’s dedication to establishing local stores that are not just retail spaces but community hubs that cater to local needs conveniently.
Co-op has also introduced 200 new personalized offers, boosted discounts, member-exclusive games, reward schemes, and unique deals as part of its membership program. Shoppers stand to potentially save over £90 across October, November, and December with monthly prize draws.
Rachel Halter, Co-op’s Membership Director, reiterated the company’s pledge to provide added value to its member owners through increased personalized offers, enhanced discount offerings, and expanded access to in-app features and promotions.
In conclusion, Co-op is actively investing in local communities and the future of high streets across the UK while calling for essential business rate reforms to ensure sustained growth and stability in the retail sector.
