Sky has unveiled an exciting new update that is set to make waves in the streaming world. The company has confirmed the launch of a comprehensive subscription plan that combines popular services like Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app for just £24 per month. This bundle offers significant savings, providing access to around £20 worth of streaming apps at a lower cost. Customers can enjoy this added content for just an extra £9 on top of Sky’s basic plan priced at £15 per month.
Moreover, subscribers to the Ultimate TV plan will gain access to over 130 channels, including Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, and Sky History. Additionally, Sky Cinema users will benefit from a dedicated Disney movie channel integrated into their planner, allowing seamless viewing of Disney blockbusters without switching to the Disney+ app.
Existing Disney+ subscribers can easily transfer their current plan to Sky, maintaining their profiles and viewing history. The supported apps will be conveniently accessible from the homepage with integrated content, enabling users to search for shows and movies via voice command and save them to a Playlist for later watching.
The new Sky Ultimate plan will be accessible across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms, providing a unified viewing experience for customers. Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, described this update as a “new era” for Sky and NOW, offering an integrated subscription that merges Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu. She emphasized the exceptional value and seamless viewing experience customers can expect, with HBO Max included at no extra charge for NOW Entertainment subscribers.
This move underscores Sky’s commitment to innovation, simplifying the way viewers access premium entertainment content. The comprehensive update includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic with Ads (launching in the UK & Ireland on 26th March), and Hayu with a selection of top shows available starting July, along with over 130 channels from Sky.
