Apple has officially announced the release of its latest smartphone, the iPhone 17e, as anticipated by many. Following the iPhone 16e, this new model upholds Apple’s strategy of offering essential features at a more budget-friendly price compared to its premium counterparts.
Priced at £599, the iPhone 17e is significantly more affordable than the iPhone 17 and 17 Pro, costing over £200 less and £500 cheaper, respectively. Moreover, it now comes with a standard 256GB storage capacity, doubling the base storage offered by its predecessor.
In terms of new features, Apple has enhanced the performance with the inclusion of the A19 chip, a significant improvement over the A18 processor in the previous model. Additionally, the iPhone 17e is equipped with Apple’s latest C1X cellular modem, promising faster speeds compared to the previous C1, enabling quicker downloads and smoother streaming on cellular networks.
Featuring a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display, the iPhone 17e delivers sharp and vibrant visuals, protected by Apple’s durable Ceramic Shield glass for added durability against daily wear and tear. The device also boasts improved anti-reflective technology for reduced glare in bright settings.
