Apple has recently unveiled its latest smartphone, the iPhone 17e, offering significant improvements at a competitive price point. The device boasts a powerful A19 processor, MagSafe charging technology, a durable design, and an impressive single-lens camera. Priced at £599, it is £200 cheaper than Apple’s flagship iPhone model.
Samsung has also introduced new budget-friendly smartphones, the A57 and A37, starting at just £399. While these devices may not match the performance and advanced charging capabilities of the iPhone 17e, they feature a 6.7-inch screen with 120Hz technology, providing a smoother user experience for tasks like browsing, emailing, and gaming compared to the iPhone’s 60Hz display.
Additionally, the Galaxy A57 and A37 come equipped with large 5,000mAh batteries, triple lens cameras, and P68 water and dust resistance. Samsung has integrated various smart features into these devices, including Google’s Circle to Search for quick web searches and enhanced photo editing tools like Object Eraser and Edit Suggestions.
The smartphones also offer improved Voice Transcription within the Voice Recorder app, enabling users to transcribe call recordings and convert voicemail audio into text easily. Samsung guarantees long-term support for the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G, promising up to six generations of Android OS updates and security patches over six years.
Both models will be available for purchase on Samsung.com starting April 10th, with the Galaxy A57 5G priced from £529 (256GB) and the Galaxy A37 5G starting at £399 (128GB). The Galaxy A57 5G will be offered in various colors, including Awesome Navy, Awesome Grey, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac, while the Galaxy A37 5G will come in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Greygreen, and Awesome White.
Annika Bizon, VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung Mobile Experience (MX) Division, emphasized the importance of making AI technology accessible to more users and highlighted the practical benefits of AI in the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G.
