Jockeys skillfully averted a potential disaster during a horse race by maneuvering to avoid an approaching AMBULANCE.
A thorough investigation has been initiated to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident that took place at Evangeline Downs in the USA on Saturday evening.
Normally, an ambulance trails a horse race on the inner side of the track in case of any mishap involving the horse or rider. However, in a peculiar turn of events, the vehicle found its way onto the course during the eighth race at 8:35 pm in Louisiana, just east of Opelousas.
All eight horses had to swiftly change course to steer clear of the ambulance as they navigated around the first bend, preventing any severe injuries to the animals and their riders.
The occurrence left fans of the sport worldwide in shock.
Renowned analyst Kevin Blake remarked, “This could be one of the most frightening close calls I’ve witnessed in a horse race. It happened at Evangeline Downs in America a few hours ago. Remarkable reflexes from the jockeys and horses to avert a potential disaster.”
US racing journalist Ray Paulick reported, “Quarter Horse race deemed inconclusive at Evangeline Downs. Impressive reaction by jockeys to avoid a potential collision with a vehicle on the track.”
Gabe Prewitt reacted, “Did anyone else witness what just happened in the 8th race at Evangeline? Unbelievable.”
In addition, spectators were taken aback by the track commentator’s description of the incident at the race’s conclusion as a “minor incident on the turn.” He further noted, “The ambulance was slightly misplaced.”
Authorities at the track have reportedly launched an investigation into the circumstances that led to the ambulance being on the race track.
