Sky has unveiled exciting updates for Formula 1 fans for the 2026 season. Following George Russell’s win in Melbourne, viewers can anticipate an enhanced viewing experience. The broadcaster will introduce a new interactive sidebar during race weekends, offering features like Race Control access, instant replays of key moments, and real-time race standings.
In addition to these race-day enhancements, fans can expect dedicated driver and team pages with onboard cameras, detailed race data, and improved navigation on the homepage. These updates will be available to Sky Sports subscribers using Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q devices at no extra cost.
While an exact launch date has not been confirmed, the upgrades are expected to roll out later in the season. Sky also offers an enticing deal for Formula 1 enthusiasts, providing live coverage of every practice, qualifier, and race with the Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle, saving subscribers £336. This package includes access to around 100 TV channels, as well as complimentary subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+.
Moreover, Sky has announced the introduction of an Ultimate TV subscription plan priced at £24 per month, which combines major streaming services like Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app in the UK. This package is deemed a great value proposition, consolidating approximately £20 worth of streaming services into a single offering.
Included in the £24 Ultimate TV plan are Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads (effective March), HBO Max Basic with Ads (starting March 26), Hayu (available from July, with select shows accessible from March), and over 130 Sky channels. Sky’s continuous efforts to enhance the viewing experience demonstrate its commitment to providing quality entertainment options for its audience.
