Well-known travel influencer Anunay Sood, aged 32, has passed away unexpectedly, as confirmed by his grieving family.
Hailing from Dubai, this social media personality amassed a substantial online following of over 1.4 million on Instagram and documented his journeys across 46 countries worldwide. Although his family released an emotional statement on his social media account, no details regarding the circumstances of his demise during his visit to Las Vegas have been officially disclosed.
The statement conveyed, “It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Anunay Sood. We request your understanding and privacy during this challenging period. Kindly refrain from gathering near our private property. Please keep his family and dear ones in your thoughts and prayers. May his soul rest in peace.”
Anunay’s final Instagram post, featuring Fast and Furious actor Sung Kang in Las Vegas, expressed disbelief about the legendary company he was in, posing the question to his followers about their dream car choices.
Following the family’s announcement, fellow influencer Cameron Biafore, who accompanied Anunay in Las Vegas, shared his sorrow over the tragedy. He wrote, “You brought so much brightness and I’m grateful for the brief time we shared. Rest peacefully, dear Anunay; your influence and zest for life will always be remembered.”
The sudden loss has deeply affected his community, with many expressing sorrow and disbelief on social media. Anunay was honored in Forbes India’s Top 100 Digital Stars list for three consecutive years, from 2022 to 2024.
In a 2024 interview with Forbes India, Anunay discussed his enthusiasm for creating content. “One needs to be adaptable – I never viewed Instagram and similar platforms as my primary income source. It was always secondary, driven by my passion for travel and sharing it with others,” he reflected.
