Virgin Media is enhancing its TV platform with a trio of bonus channels at no extra cost to customers. The telecoms giant has partnered with Rakuten to introduce three Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST) channels, offering a range of entertainment options.
The new channels include Rakuten TV Drama on channel 462, featuring popular movies like The Big Short and JFK. Rakuten TV Comedy on channel 463 presents comedies such as Big Momma’s House and The Internship. For sci-fi enthusiasts, Rakuten TV: Sci Fi on channel 464 offers a selection of content from other worlds.
Customers with Virgin TV 360 and Flex will automatically receive the upgrade, with no additional steps required. The channels are easily accessible through Virgin Media’s TV guide and can be found using voice control for added convenience.
David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, expressed excitement about the new streaming channels, emphasizing the value and quality of entertainment provided to customers. With this expansion, Virgin TV customers now have access to a total of 40 FAST channels, enriching their viewing experience.
While a subscription fee is necessary to access Virgin Media TV, the enhanced channel lineup offers a superior range of content compared to free services.
