Starting next month, Virgin Media users who are subscribed to Sky Entertainment channels will receive Sky Atlantic at no additional cost. This means viewers will have access to popular shows like “Heated Rivalry,” “Under Salt Marsh,” “The Last Of Us,” and “Amadeus” without any increase in fees.
The addition of Sky Atlantic will be available to Virgin TV 360 and Stream box customers starting April 1. To access Sky Atlantic programming, customers can simply tune in to channel 111 on the Virgin TV platform, with on-demand content also accessible through Virgin TV Go.
David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, expressed excitement about the seamless entertainment offering and value provided to customers through the addition of Sky Atlantic. He highlighted the channel’s captivating dramas and compelling stories from the UK and the US, emphasizing that over a million Virgin TV customers can now enjoy Sky Atlantic without any extra steps or costs.
In a related update, Sky has announced the launch of a new Ultimate TV plan that includes premium channels such as Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app. Priced at £24, the Ultimate TV plan will be available on Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms.
Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, described the new plan as marking a “new era” for Sky and NOW, as it brings together Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu under a single subscription.
This move by Virgin and Sky comes at a time when both companies are enhancing their offerings to provide customers with a wider range of entertainment options.
