“Sky Cinema Animation and Family Merge on Channel 304”

Published:

Sky is set to make a significant change for movie enthusiasts with Sky Cinema Animation (channel 312) merging with Sky Cinema Family on April 30. This move aims to streamline the service by consolidating family-friendly films into one destination on channel 304. Viewers can anticipate popular titles like the Shrek series, The Secret Life of Pets, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse all in one place.

Despite the merger reducing the number of channels, all content previously available on Sky Cinema Animation will still be accessible through Sky Cinema Family. However, for fans of Sky Cinema Animation, the standalone channel will return temporarily during school holidays, running from July 24 to August 30, October 23 to November 1, and December 1 to January 5.

In other news, Sky has ventured into the home security market by introducing new smart devices. Customers can opt for a Sky Smart Doorbell and Chime for £5 per month with a £15 upfront cost, offering features such as full HD video recording, mobile alerts, two-way audio, and cloud video storage. Additionally, an upgraded option, the Smart Home Bundle with Smart Home Plan+, is available for £8 monthly with a £20 upfront fee, including an indoor camera and enhanced app controls.

Paul Sweeney, Managing Director of Sky Smart Home, emphasized the company’s commitment to providing accessible premium smart technology that focuses on key customer features, simplicity, manageability, and affordability.
