“Selena Gomez Faces Lawsuit Over Mental Health Startup”

Published:

Selena Gomez, a well-known singer and actor, faced a lawsuit from investors accusing her of fraudulent behavior related to her mental health startup, Wondermind Global. The investors, who contributed around $1.2 million to the venture, alleged that Gomez, a prominent figure with over 500 million social media followers, had promised active involvement in the company’s development as the head of marketing but failed to deliver on commitments, such as the creation of a mobile app.

The lawsuit claimed that Gomez had signed a contract for her participation but did not fulfill her obligations. The investors asserted that the company, despite its promising pitch to enhance “mental fitness,” did not materialize as a viable business, failing to meet even basic responsibilities like timely payments to employees and vendors.

Following a news report in September 2025 unveiling the company’s issues, the investors sought to recover their investments and legal costs. Gomez’s representative did not provide an immediate response to the accusations, as stated in the lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware.

Investors were reportedly unaware of the company’s challenges until the news story surfaced, prompting them to take legal action to address the alleged misconduct and seek restitution for their financial losses.
