An individual, aged 18, from Yorkton, Saskatchewan, has been charged with terrorism offenses for reportedly sharing videos as a member of 764, a recognized terrorist organization in Canada. The arrest took place in Alberta on September 24 by the RCMP federal policing northwest region’s Integrated National Security Enforcement Team (INSET), with the charges being officially disclosed by the RCMP in a recent press release.
Due to being a minor at the time of the alleged incidents, the identity of the accused is safeguarded under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The RCMP initiated an investigation following reports of troubling online behavior, focusing on a Telegram user suspected of posting videos depicting real-world actions affiliated with 764. Subsequent findings revealed the user’s involvement in various 764-related chatrooms on Discord and Telegram.
Described as a transnational online network of violent individuals, 764 engages in coercing youth to partake in activities involving child sexual abuse, self-harm, and animal torture, according to the RCMP. The group holds extreme ideological stances and is known to victimize children, as mentioned in the press release.
Established as a terrorist entity in December 2025, 764 has been under scrutiny for its activities. The 18-year-old is facing charges related to supporting a terrorist group, aiding terrorist acts, and committing offenses on behalf of a terrorist organization. The individual is set to attend a bail hearing at the Yorkton provincial court on Tuesday afternoon.
