Canada has increased its medal count at the 2026 ICF Canoe Sprint & Paracanoe World Championships in Poznań, as Sophia Jensen and Brianna Hennessy each secured their second medal of the event, and the women’s C4 crew clinched a bronze. Jensen earned a silver in the women’s C1 200m, finishing just 0.50 seconds behind Ukraine’s Liudmyla Luzan, who claimed gold. Hennessy also made it to the podium, winning silver in the women’s VL2 200m. The Canadian paracanoe athlete now leaves Poznań with two medals from two races. Additionally, the women’s C4 crew of Katie Vincent, Zoe Wojtyk, Sloan MacKenzie, and Elizabeth Desrosiers-McArthur bagged bronze in the C4 500m event. China secured gold, and Hungary took silver in the competition.
