“Darts Player Dom Taylor Apologizes for Drug Use & Personal Struggles”

Published:

Darts player Dom Taylor has publicly apologized for deceiving others about his drug use, along with sharing personal struggles related to the loss of his daughter. Following his removal from the PDC World Championship, the 27-year-old issued a detailed statement on social media.

The Darts Regulation Authority (DRA) confirmed Taylor’s positive drug test from December 14, resulting in his suspension from the tournament after previously winning a match against Oskar Lukasiak. This led to the withholding of his prize money and advancement of his opponent, Jonny Clayton, to the next round.

In his statement, Taylor expressed regret for his actions, admitting to previous drug test failures in 2025 and the recent incident. He acknowledged completing the required program following his previous suspension, highlighting past traumas that may have contributed to his struggles with substance use.

Taylor mentioned seeking help after the holiday season and emphasized the importance of reaching out for support when facing challenges. He apologized to his fans, family, and sponsors for his behavior, vowing to address his issues and return stronger in the future.
