“Anthony Joshua Prepares for Epic Showdown with Jake Paul”

Published:

British boxer Anthony Joshua is gearing up for his upcoming fight against Jake Paul in Miami, where he has already arrived to adjust to the time zone. Joshua, a former two-time unified heavyweight champion, has not competed since his defeat to Daniel Dubois in September 2024. Following an injury and elbow surgery, Joshua is now back in training and preparing for his return to the ring.

The announcement of Joshua facing Paul took many by surprise, with the fight set to take place on December 19 in Miami, Florida. The bout will consist of eight three-minute rounds, with both fighters using 10oz gloves. Despite being the favorite, Joshua is not underestimating Paul and is training rigorously for the match, treating it as seriously as a world title fight.

The heavyweight clash between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul will be livestreamed on Netflix on December 19. Viewers can access the fight for free through Sky’s £15 Essential TV bundle, which is being promoted as the lowest-ever price for Sky TV.

Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s boxing promoter, praised Joshua’s dedication and focus for the fight, emphasizing the Brit’s commitment to his training and preparation. Hearn disclosed that Joshua has a specific weight target to meet for the bout and is on track to achieve it without issues.

In negotiations leading up to the fight, Hearn mentioned a slight misrepresentation regarding Joshua’s weight to ensure a fair competition. Joshua has been advised not to exceed 245lb for the fight against Paul, a requirement that seems manageable for the British boxer.

The highly anticipated clash between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul is scheduled just before Christmas on December 19 in Miami. The fight is expected to commence around 11pm local time, which translates to 4am in the UK. The event will be broadcast live on Netflix, with the timing subject to adjustments based on the undercard duration.
