Revolution Bars Parent Company Sets Deadline for Buyer Bids

Published:

The company that owns Revolution bars has announced a deadline for bids next week as it seeks a buyer. The Revel Collective, which operates 62 venues under various brands, including Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba, and Peach Pubs, put itself up for sale in October 2025 due to declining sales. Interested parties are required to submit their offers by January 9, with FTI Consulting overseeing the formal sale process.

According to a report by Sky News, Neos Hospitality has shown interest in acquiring some of The Revel Collective’s locations, although it is uncertain if they will submit a bid. The Mirror reached out to The Revel Collective, formerly known as Revolution Bars, for a comment.

The company had initiated a sales process in April 2024 but abandoned it after rejecting an offer from Nightcap. As part of a restructuring plan approved by the High Court, around 36 sites were closed in 2024. In a recent update, the company cited challenging economic conditions and government interventions as factors hindering its progress since the restructuring.

Revenue decreased by 7.4% to £26.3 million in the three months leading up to September, primarily driven by a 10.5% decline in like-for-like sales in its bars division. The company attributed the sales drop to financial pressures on its younger clientele and noted an increase in debts, rising from £22.1 million to £25.3 million by the end of June.

Luke Johnson, former Pizza Express executive, assumed the role of chairman at The Revel Collective in September, succeeding Keith Edelman. Johnson expressed interest in acquiring established companies and niche businesses to lead the market.
