“Made In Chelsea Star Diagnosed with End-Stage Liver Disease”

Published:

Sam Vanderpump, a 28-year-old star of the popular TV show Made In Chelsea, recently shared that he has been diagnosed with irreversible end-stage liver disease after a harrowing battle with sepsis during the past Christmas season.

During a recent episode of the reality show, Sam, who is the nephew of Housewives Of Beverley Hills celebrity Lisa Vanderpump, disclosed that his life expectancy may be less than five years if he does not undergo an organ transplant. This news comes shortly after Sam announced that he and his fiancée, Alice Yaxley, are expecting their first child.

On the latest episode of the E4 show, Sam confided in friends Ollie Locke and Tabitha Willett about his health struggles, revealing that his liver condition is irreversible. He mentioned that he is undergoing assessments for a liver transplant and expressed hope for a healthy recovery post-surgery.

Following the emotional conversation, it was shared that Sam is uncertain about the timing of the transplant due to other individuals being ahead on the transplant list. The NHS Organ Donation Instagram account expressed hope that Sam’s story on the show will inspire others to consider organ donation.

In a separate interview earlier this year, Sam recounted his battle with sepsis, where he faced life-threatening liver and kidney failure. He credited his fiancée for saving his life by recognizing the severity of his symptoms and promptly seeking medical help.

Sam shared that doctors informed him that if he had delayed seeking medical attention by just a day, his condition could have been fatal as his liver and kidneys were already failing.
