“Expert Tip: Use Oven Heat to Warm Home!”

Published:

An expert from British Gas has shared a tip on how to keep your home warm without using your central heating.

Jessica Rawstron, a smart energy engineer, recommends leaving your oven door open after cooking to utilize the residual heat escaping from the appliance.

Rawstron advised, “Instead of closing the oven door after cooking, why not leave it open to allow the heat to slowly warm up your kitchen.

“This method can help maintain a warm atmosphere in your house while you enjoy your meal. Remember to keep children and pets away from the open oven door.”

British Gas also provided tips on winter home preparation, such as sealing gaps around windows and doors to prevent draughts.
