“Social Media ‘Human Barbie’ Found Dead in Brazilian Public Official’s Home”

Published:

Barbara Jankavski Marquez, a well-known social media figure referred to as the “human Barbie,” was tragically discovered deceased and partially unclothed at the residence of a public official. The incident took place in the Lapa district of Sao Paulo, Brazil, where the public defender, aged 51, informed authorities that he had engaged Marquez for “sexual services” the preceding night. Allegedly, both individuals had consumed drugs, leading to Marquez coughing persistently and eventually dozing off while watching TV. The official asserted that he attempted resuscitation efforts for approximately nine minutes after realizing Marquez had ceased moving, before contacting emergency services.

Medical personnel declared Marquez deceased around 9pm after locating her lying on her back in only underwear, with an injury to her left eye and marks on her back. An associate of the public defender, a 43-year-old woman, disclosed that she had been present at the residence earlier but was not there at the time of Marquez’s death. She claimed to have witnessed Marquez slipping and injuring her eye around 4am.

Law enforcement officials disclosed that Marquez’s death is being investigated as suspicious, pending forensic and toxicological analyses to ascertain the cause of her passing. Both witnesses, including the public defender and his acquaintance, are slated for further interrogation, while Marquez’s family members are expected to provide statements as part of the ongoing investigation.

Known online as “Boneca Desumana” (‘Inhuman Doll’), Marquez boasted a substantial following on TikTok and Instagram, with a focus on documenting her extensive cosmetic surgery journey. Over the years, she had undergone 27 plastic surgeries amounting to over £43,000 (BRL 300,000), which included multiple radical procedures such as liposuction, breast augmentations, and rhinoplasties to achieve her doll-like appearance.

This incident follows the tragic death of another influencer, Yoon Ji-ah, who was believed to have been brutally murdered shortly after a live stream by a VIP fan. Yoon was assaulted and strangled to death before her body was found in a suitcase in the mountains. Autopsy results confirmed her cause of death as asphyxiation due to neck compression.
