A convicted sex offender who targeted young girls shed tears and apologized to his mother as he was sentenced for his despicable actions.
Lucifer Hunter, a predator who posed as a 16-year-old to manipulate and coerce children, communicated with his victims through various social media platforms, including Xbox, TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram. He engaged in explicit conversations and pressured the girls for inappropriate images, referring to himself as “Daddy.”
One victim was subjected to a disturbing FaceTime call during which Hunter exposed himself and coerced the girl to reciprocate or send him photos in line with his disturbing preferences. He also threatened the victims with violence and blackmail if they did not comply with his demands.
At Canterbury Crown Court, Hunter received a five-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to 14 charges related to online child sexual exploitation, indecent communications, and possession of inappropriate images. His victims, aged between 10 and 15, suffered at his hands over a period of four years.
During the trial, the prosecution described Hunter’s behavior as manipulative and aggressive, highlighting his pattern of turning threatening when his demands were not met. One victim, who lived far away from him, expressed fear and anxiety at the mention of Hunter’s name, recalling instances where he stalked her movements and made violent threats.
Despite claims of mental health issues and remorse from Hunter’s defense, the judge deemed his actions as deliberate, persistent, and harmful. The court rejected a suspended sentence, emphasizing the calculated and harmful nature of Hunter’s behavior.
In a heartbreaking moment at the end of the trial, the convicted offender, visibly emotional, turned to his mother and tearfully apologized as he was sentenced to five years in prison.
