Marco Pierre White Jr has received a prison sentence today for a series of burglaries and shoplifting incidents. The reality TV personality, known for his appearance on Big Brother, attended Isleworth Crown Court via video link where the sentence was imposed after he confessed to multiple offenses earlier this year.
The son of the renowned chef Marco Pierre White was in custody on remand for admitting to four counts of burglary and one count of criminal damage during a crime spree in west London and Bath. Despite initially being present in court, Pierre White Jr chose to return to his cell before the sentence was announced, resulting in his absence during the sentencing. He has been sentenced to three years and 10 months in prison.
During the sentencing, Judge Edwards Connell characterized Pierre White Jr as a frequent offender with a history of non-compliance with court orders, referring to his actions as a “campaign of dishonesty.” The judge emphasized that the defendant had breached suspended sentences in the past, demonstrating a pattern of criminal behavior.
Pierre White Jr’s defense attorney, Sean Sullivan, attributed his client’s offenses to a long-standing drug addiction, exacerbated by the closure of his treatment center. Sullivan stated that Pierre White Jr resorted to theft to sustain his drug habit.
The defendant admitted to breaking into a gallery in west London, causing substantial damage and stealing valuable items. He also confessed to stealing various goods from different locations, including plush toys, crystal formations, and hygiene products. Additionally, Pierre White Jr was reported to have used Lime Bikes for quick getaways after committing the crimes.
Furthermore, the court heard that Pierre White Jr had threatened a female employee during a shoplifting incident. Despite his previous acknowledgments of the offenses, he was absent during the latest court appearance via video link.
