“Farage Supports Lammy in Calling Out MP’s ‘Racist’ Remarks”

Published:

Nigel Farage has expressed agreement with David Lammy’s criticism of a Reform MP’s outdated language. While standing in for Keir Starmer at PMQs, the Deputy Prime Minister called out the “racist” remarks made by Sarah Pochin on TalkTV last month.

During a call-in segment, Ms. Pochin, representing Runcorn and Helsby, voiced her frustration over seeing advertisements featuring non-white individuals, describing it as maddening. This prompted Mr. Lammy to denounce her comments as belonging to a backward era.

In response to criticism, Mr. Farage seemed to affirm the sentiment. The discussion arose from a question posed by Labour MP Tristan Osborne regarding the dysfunction within the Reform-led council in Kent.

Ms. Pochin later apologized for any offense caused by her remarks, clarifying that her comments were poorly worded but maintaining her view that many advertisements do not accurately represent British society.
