Ottawa native Gabriela Dabrowski clinched her 25th tour-level doubles title on Sunday at the WTA 1000 China Open in Beijing, partnering with Brazil’s Luisa Stefani for a commanding win. The second-seeded duo defeated top seeds Katerina Siniakova and Zhang Shuai with a score of 6-1, 6-2 in under an hour to secure the championship.

Reflecting on their performance, Dabrowski expressed satisfaction during a post-match press conference, highlighting the high level of play they maintained throughout the week, driven by the challenge posed by their experienced opponents.

This triumph adds to Dabrowski’s successful year, marking her fifth tour-level title alongside victories in Dubai, Strasbourg, Eastbourne, and São Paulo. Dabrowski and Stefani, who have now claimed seven titles together, notably reached the Wimbledon final earlier in the season, finishing as runners-up.

Their recent success has also secured their qualification for the year-end WTA Finals in Indian Wells, where Dabrowski will participate for the eighth time in this prestigious season-ending event.
