Over the weekend, Israeli airstrikes resulted in the deaths of at least 11 individuals in southern Lebanon, as confirmed by the country’s health ministry. This incident marked the most lethal attack post a fragile ceasefire agreement in June, aimed at ending hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah, despite ongoing assaults.
Accusations have emerged from residents and emergency responders in the area, alleging that Israeli forces are purposefully igniting wildfires that have been devastating homes, forests, and olive groves in the conflict-affected region.
The situation has left locals concerned about their safety and the possibility of return for the hundreds of thousands displaced during the conflict.
