“Man Arrested in Alleged Rape Near Police Station”

Following an alleged rape incident in an alleyway near a police station, a man has been apprehended by authorities.

The reported assault occurred in the vicinity of Chatsworth Road and the Guildbourne Centre in Worthing, West Sussex, during the early hours of Saturday.

Law enforcement officials have conducted investigations into the incident, which is believed to have transpired between 3 am and 4 am.

The 42-year-old suspect has been taken into custody by the police in relation to the alleged crime.

Detective Inspector Gary Jacobs, leading the inquiry, stated that Sussex Police is providing support to the purported victim. He urged individuals with any pertinent information to come forward.

Inspector Jacobs mentioned, “We are assisting the victim and will maintain a presence in the area during our inquiry.”

The investigator emphasized the importance of acquiring any CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage from the Chatsworth Road area between 3 am and 4 am on the day in question.

He urged individuals who have not yet come forward with information or footage to contact the authorities either by phone or online, referencing Op Morley.
