“Neville: Pivotal Week Boosts Amorim’s United Tenure”

Published:

Former Manchester United player and pundit Gary Neville believes that the recent week has been pivotal for Ruben Amorim’s tenure as the manager of Manchester United. The Red Devils secured a 4-2 victory over Brighton, marking their third consecutive win after beating Liverpool and Sunderland prior to the international break in October.

United started strongly with goals from Matheus Cunha and Casemiro, followed by Bryan Mbeumo’s strike. Despite Brighton’s comeback with goals from Danny Welbeck and Charalampos Kostoulas, Ayden Heaven’s assist to Mbeumo sealed the win in front of the Stretford End.

The victory propelled United to fourth place in the league standings ahead of Liverpool’s match against Brentford. Neville expressed on Sky Sports that this successful week could relieve some pressure on Amorim, emphasizing the importance of the recent results.

Neville also mentioned that there were concerns about the players’ belief in Amorim’s tactics previously, but affirmed that the team has a strong bond with the manager. Looking ahead to upcoming fixtures against Nottingham Forest and Tottenham, Neville highlighted the positive momentum and team spirit within Manchester United.
