“PDC Clears Fallon Sherrock Amid Unusual Table Incident”

Published:

The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has decided not to penalize Fallon Sherrock for her behavior during her recent match at the World Championship where she humorously imitated an incident involving a drinks table that her former partner, Cameron Menzies, had damaged earlier in the week.

Menzies had a violent outburst, resulting in injuries, after losing his initial game at the championship. Despite their past relationship, Sherrock’s actions were viewed as light-hearted considering the circumstances.

PDC CEO Matt Porter emphasized that Menzies has access to support services from the PDC and the PDPA if needed, as the players’ well-being is a top priority for the organization.

Both Sherrock and Menzies were eliminated in the first round of the tournament. Sherrock struggled with her doubles against opponent Dave Chisnall, leading to a 3-0 defeat, while Menzies, the 26th seed, lost a close match to Charlie Manby.

Chisnall, reflecting on his victory over Sherrock, acknowledged her strong performance and expressed gratitude for the supportive crowd. He will face Ricardo Pietreczko in the next round, along with other seeded players like Josh Rock and Nathan Aspinall.

Young talent Beau Greaves is set to kick off her World Championship campaign against Daryl Gurney, with the winner advancing to play Callan Rydz in the second round.

The upcoming matches promise excitement as the competition heats up at the World Darts Championship, featuring defending champion Luke Littler and contender Luke Humphries.
