Russia’s Defense Ministry announced on Sunday that they would increase the intensity of attacks on targets in Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine in response to recent statements made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The ministry stated that Russian forces would escalate strikes on military installations, defense industry facilities, and associated infrastructure in Kyiv and various locations across Ukraine.
In an interview with Reuters, Zelenskyy mentioned that Ukraine would enhance its assaults on Russian oil refineries as a countermeasure to Moscow’s new airstrike strategy aimed at coercing residents to evacuate Kyiv and other urban areas, clarifying that civilians would not be targeted.
Meanwhile, in Russia’s Krasnodar region, an industrial site in the Temryuk district caught fire due to drone debris falling on the site, resulting in three individuals sustaining injuries. The injured persons were receiving medical treatment, while emergency response teams were deployed to manage the situation.
