Wetherspoon has kicked off its January Sale in 600 of its pubs, offering a pint of beer starting at just 99p. The discounted drinks lineup includes Worthington’s beer at 99p per pint, Coldwater Creek wine at £2.99 for a 250ml glass, Johnnie Walker Black Label (25ml with mixer) at £1.99, and Tanqueray gin (25ml with mixer) at £1.99.
Moreover, a variety of low-alcohol and alcohol-free options are available, such as Guinness 0.0, Corona Cero, Brewdog Punk AF, Stella Artois Alcohol Free, Erdinger Isotonic, Thatchers zero, Koppaberg Alcohol Free, and Gordons 0.0 pink gin, all priced at £1.69 each. Beck’s Blue and Sanpellegrino Aranciata Rossa are also on sale for 99p each.
For food options, customers can choose between an 11-inch Margherita pizza or a chicken burger with chips for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic beverage. Additionally, a selection of six jacket potatoes is available for £4.99 with a soft drink, or £6.52 with an alcoholic drink, with fillings like tuna mayo, coleslaw, chilli bean non-carne, cheese, baked beans, or roasted vegetables.
Customers can opt to add an extra filling or side salad for 99p. New gourmet jacket potatoes are introduced, priced at £6.49 with a soft drink and £8.02 with an alcoholic drink. These include the loaded spud with cheese, maple-cured bacon, garlic butter, and sour cream, the Mexican spud with chilli bean non-carne, guacamole, and more, and the smoky potato with pulled BBQ beef brisket.
Wetherspoon’s founder and chairman, Tim Martin, expressed excitement about the January Sale, aligning it with traditional retail sales in department stores. The sale will be available in 600 pubs from January 2, extending to January 15, with some variations in prices at the other 200 venues.
