Hyperoptic, a leading broadband provider, has recently announced an increase in mid-contract prices. Customers will experience a £4 monthly rise starting from April 2026, up from the previous £3 increment. This adjustment applies to all Hyperoptic broadband plans, affecting both new and existing customers. Despite previously opposing annual price hikes, Hyperoptic joins several major telecom giants in implementing larger increases in recent months.
In a shift from their previous stance, Hyperoptic’s policy director, James Fredrikson, stated in 2023 that the company avoided mid-contract price raises, believing that the advertised price should remain consistent throughout the contract period.
Meanwhile, Sky Mobile has disclosed a £1.50 monthly bill hike for the majority of its customers effective February 14, 2026. O2 has also revealed an increase of £2.50 per month for almost all mobile and SIM-only contract users, starting in April 2026, higher than the initially planned £1.80 raise.
For Three mobile customers opting for a data plan of 4GB or less, a monthly price surge of £1.80 is expected from April 2026, an 80p increase from the current rise of £1. Customers with data plans ranging from 4GB to 100GB will witness a £1.90 rise, while those with over 100GB will face a £2.30 monthly increase.
Additionally, Three broadband subscribers will encounter a £3.50 monthly escalation from April 2026. Vodafone mobile customers signing up after November 12 will see their monthly bills climb by £2.50, with Basics SIM plans rising by £1.50. Vodafone broadband users are also in line for a £3.50 monthly price adjustment.
If you are not under contract, you may be overpaying for your mobile and broadband services. To save money, consider comparing prices online, assessing your usage needs, and potentially negotiating with your current provider for better deals. Individuals receiving benefits should explore eligibility for discounted social tariffs.
