Traveler on Luxury Vacation in Greece Compares Food to “Dog Food”

Published:

A traveler recently expressed disappointment in the quality of meals provided during her all-inclusive vacation, likening them to “dog food.” Erin Wells and Jordan Evans had planned a 10-night birthday celebration trip to Crete, Greece, at a highly-rated four-star hotel. Despite spending £2,218 on the easyJet holiday, they found the food so unsatisfactory that they had to spend an additional £600 on dining out.

Erin, a hospital administrator, recounted her experience of encountering unlabelled and unidentifiable food items during their stay. She described an incident where a chef could not confirm the type of meat being served, leading to confusion and concern about the meals. The couple also faced issues with their accommodations, including a flooded room due to shower leaks and mold-infested pool and sun loungers. Erin was so worried about hygiene that she refrained from using the pool throughout the trip.

While easyJet has acknowledged the couple’s complaints and is working with the hotel partner to address them, Erin is adamant about seeking a full refund, though she doubts it will be granted. She criticized the lack of food labeling, the poor quality of desserts, and the overall unappetizing presentation of the meals. Erin expressed disappointment in the discrepancies between the hotel’s promotional images and the actual conditions they encountered.

In response, an easyJet holidays spokesperson expressed regret over Erin’s negative experience and pledged to assist her while investigating the issues with their hotel partner. Erin hopes that their feedback will prompt the removal of misleading information about the hotel from the company’s website.
