“Amazon Unveils Faster, Cheaper Fire TV Stick HD”

Published:

Amazon has released an updated version of its Fire TV Stick HD with a reduced price, making it an opportune moment to upgrade and explore new features. The revamped device boasts a sleeker design, support for Wi-Fi 6 for enhanced streaming, and improved performance.

The latest Fire TV Stick HD is over 30% faster than its predecessors, offering quicker start-up times and enhanced app functionality, as per Amazon’s announcement.

Notably, this device can be powered directly through the TV’s USB port, eliminating the need for a separate power adapter and facilitating a tidy cable setup behind the screen.

In addition, the device comes with Amazon’s latest Fire OS software, Vega, promising a more organized interface, intelligent content suggestions, and a smoother browsing experience.

Amazon expressed, “The new Fire TV Stick HD is our most compact streaming device yet, designed for direct power via the TV’s USB port, reducing the need for an extra power supply and ensuring a neater installation behind the TV.”

Initially priced at £39.99, the updated Fire TV Stick HD is now available on Amazon for £25.99, offering a 35% discount.

While Amazon’s deal is enticing, consumers seeking even more savings can find the 2024 Fire TV Stick HD at both Argos and Currys for £24.99, undercutting Amazon by £1 and slashing £15 off the original launch price.

The older HD model still grants access to popular streaming services like Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+, along with Full HD playback, Alexa voice commands, quick app launch buttons, and smart home controls for compatible devices.
