Nigel Farage has been labeled a “snake oil salesman” who is at odds with the key principles of one of Westminster’s most representative MPs, Angela Rayner cautioned. The former Deputy Leader of the Labour Party strongly criticized the leader of Reform UK, accusing him of obstructing her efforts to empower the working class further.
Angela Rayner, a pivotal figure in Labour’s significant Employment Rights Bill, also rebuked Richard Tice, the Deputy Leader of Reform UK, for his purported lack of comprehension regarding the genuine challenges faced by the public. She asserted, “Nigel Farage is akin to a deceptive salesman; despite his claims of supporting the working class, he consistently opposes the initiatives of a dedicated working-class MP striving to enhance the influence of the working class in our nation.”
Rayner added, “It is becoming evident that their rhetoric does not align with the practical outcomes they intend to achieve. Having witnessed firsthand the realities on the ground, I am committed to the ongoing labor required to address these issues.”
Directing her attention to Mr. Tice’s negative appraisal of the workers’ bill as a “catastrophe,” Rayner expressed her dismay, emphasizing, “I was appalled by the recent statements from the Reform deputy leader suggesting the abandonment of the employment rights bill. He should step away from his luxurious abode in Dubai and witness the genuine struggles faced here.”
She continued, “Establishing a fair pay agreement and a structured career path for care workers is imperative in reducing public sector expenses, particularly crucial with an aging population. It’s a mutually beneficial approach.”
