Despite the harrowing ordeal, Joshua, 36, escaped with only minor injuries after making a split-second decision to change seats before the journey. This week, the former two-time heavyweight champion was seen back in action in the boxing ring in Dubai.
Hearn, Joshua’s long-time promoter with Matchroom Boxing, met with Joshua and took to Instagram to share their encounter. He praised Joshua’s resilience and strength, acknowledging the weight of the loss Joshua is carrying and the time needed for him to recover fully.
Since the incident, doubts have surrounded Joshua’s future in boxing. Hearn previously mentioned that Joshua would be taking a significant break from the sport to cope with the aftermath of the tragic event.

Legal proceedings against Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, the driver involved in the accident, will resume soon. Kayode faces charges related to the tragic incident, including causing death by dangerous driving and driving without a valid license.
