“Apple launches AppleCare One in UK: Protect multiple devices under one plan”

Published:

Apple has introduced AppleCare One in the UK, expanding its service to British customers who own multiple Apple devices. This subscription, previously launched in the US, allows customers to protect up to three eligible devices, such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches, under a single plan for £16.99 per month.

AppleCare One offers coverage for accidental damage, loss, or theft of devices, with Apple providing repair services or up to three replacements per year based on the claim type. This new service enhances the existing AppleCare+ benefits, including unlimited accidental damage repairs, battery servicing, and 24/7 priority access to Apple support.

By consolidating multiple product protections into one subscription, AppleCare One can lead to significant cost savings. Customers covering an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, for example, could save up to £11.48 per month compared to purchasing individual AppleCare+ plans for each device.

An advantage of AppleCare One is its flexibility in device eligibility. Customers can add devices up to four years old to the plan as long as they are in good condition, surpassing the typical 60-day purchase window for AppleCare+. Additionally, the plan seamlessly adjusts when upgrading devices, automatically transferring coverage to new purchases made directly from Apple.

Apple emphasized the customer-centric approach of AppleCare One, aiming to provide a simplified and more flexible protection solution. Bob Borchers, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing, highlighted the convenience of the single plan pricing and comprehensive coverage for eligible products.

Overall, AppleCare One offers an enhanced and cost-effective way for UK customers to safeguard their Apple devices, ensuring peace of mind and a seamless experience in managing device protection.
