Earthshot, featuring £1 million prizes across five categories, is a flagship concept by Prince William, marking the halfway point of its decade-long journey in various countries worldwide. Inspired by U.S. President John F. Kennedy’s famous “Moonshot” speech, Prince William’s vision is to hasten environmental innovation to combat issues like climate change, plastic pollution in oceans, and wildlife habitat loss by 2030.
Chosen from nearly 2,500 nominees across 72 nations, the 2025 Finalists exemplify outstanding climate leadership. The upcoming ceremony is anticipated to reach a vast audience in Brazil and the UK, with broadcasts on BBC and Globo.
