“Luke Littler Predicts Lando Norris to Win BBC Sports Personality Award”

Published:

Luke Littler recently disclosed that he will not be attending the upcoming BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards, despite being a nominee for the prestigious accolade. Instead, he has predicted that Lando Norris will clinch the top prize.

Nicknamed ‘The Nuke,’ the 18-year-old is among the six contenders vying for the coveted award, which includes notable names like Norris, Rory McIlroy, Chloe Kelly, Hannah Hampton, and Ellie Kildunne. Although he was nominated last year as well, he narrowly missed out to Keely Hodgkinson, an Olympic gold medalist.

Despite his stellar performance this year, Littler remains focused on his upcoming match against either Mario Vandenbogaerde or David Davies, scheduled just two days after the awards ceremony on December 18.

When questioned about the ceremony, Littler stated, “No, I won’t be attending. My attention is elsewhere. I believe the frontrunners in the betting odds will likely be present, and I anticipate Norris to emerge as the winner.”

Reflecting on his plans for the upcoming days, Littler mentioned that he intends to relax at home, with a plan to watch Manchester United’s match against Bournemouth on Monday night.

During a recent match at Ally Pally, Littler secured a 3-0 victory against Darius Labanauskas before encountering an unexpected guest, a wasp, during his post-match interview with Sky.

Looking forward to the World Darts Championship, which he won last year as the youngest player ever, Littler is prepared to defend his title at the sold-out Ally Pally. However, he will face tough competition from rival Luke Humphries.
