For almost a year, President Donald Trump has been urging voters not to worry about increasing prices. He has dismissed concerns about affordability as a ploy by Democrats, claimed that consumer prices decreased during his tenure when they actually rose, and insisted that the costs of gas and diesel, which surged following his actions against Iran, would soon decrease.
Despite Trump’s assertions, multiple polls indicate that voters are not convinced, giving him low ratings on the cost of living. According to Silver Bulletin, which compiles public polling data, over 70% of American respondents disapprove of Trump’s handling of inflation on average.
