She is pursuing legal action against the company, holding them accountable for her son’s death.
In response to the allegations, a spokesman for Character.ai denied the claims and mentioned plans to implement measures to prevent under-18s from engaging in conversations with virtual characters. The platform aims to introduce new age verification features to tailor the user experience appropriately.
