“Beauty Bay Considers Sale Amid Financial Evaluation”

Published:

A popular online beauty retailer is considering a potential sale as advisors have been engaged to assess the company. Established in 1999 by brothers Arron and David Gabbie in Manchester, Beauty Bay offers a wide range of products from over 200 brands, including popular names like Ariana Grande, Clinique, and MAC, alongside its own product line.

According to a recent report by Sky News, Beauty Bay is exploring various options to secure additional funding, including the possibility of selling the business outright. Interpath, an advisory firm, is reportedly collaborating with Beauty Bay on this endeavor.

Currently employing 65 individuals, Beauty Bay has been reached out to for a statement by the Mirror. The move to potentially sell comes shortly after beauty brand Malin + Goetz entered administration, leading to the closure of all seven of its UK stores, impacting more than 70 jobs.

Although online orders for Malin + Goetz have been temporarily halted, shoppers can still access their products through third-party retailers such as Liberty, John Lewis, and Space NK. Malin + Goetz’s spokesperson stated that the UK business has been placed in administration following a thorough review of operations, resulting in the closure of stores and the head office due to unavoidable circumstances.

The website for Malin + Goetz is expected to resume operations after a brief maintenance period, with the brand originally launched in New York in 2004 by Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz. Initially offering six products catering to all skin types, the company has since expanded its product range to include fragrance, body care, and various beauty categories.
