“Husband Pushes Pregnant Wife Off Cliff for Life Insurance”

Published:

A man, Hakan Aysal, is currently in prison for pushing his pregnant wife, Semra Aysal, off a 1,000-foot cliff in Butterfly Valley, Turkey, shortly after taking photos with her. The court learned that the victim, who was seven months pregnant, was tragically killed by her husband in an attempt to benefit from a life insurance policy he had secured.

Aysal deliberately led his wife, who had a fear of heights, to the edge of the cliff under the pretense of taking a selfie before callously pushing her off. It was revealed that the couple spent several hours on the slope before Aysal committed the heinous act when there were no witnesses around.

After the incident, Aysal audaciously tried to claim a £40,000 insurance payout from a policy he had recently purchased. However, his scheme was thwarted when authorities were alerted to the suspicious circumstances surrounding his wife’s death.

Bank records showed that Aysal had acquired seven loans in his wife’s name and proceeded to live a lavish lifestyle following her demise. An indictment was issued against Aysal for “premeditated murder,” citing his manipulation of insurance policies for financial gain.

During the trial, witnesses described Aysal as unnervingly calm as he sought help after his wife’s fall. Despite his actions, Aysal attempted to sue 200 individuals in 2022 for allegedly defaming him online, aiming to receive compensation for each insult. He is currently serving a life sentence, with the possibility of parole after 30 years, while simultaneously engaging in legal battles against his critics.
